Experience Europe’s largest space program at ILA 2022

The ILA is back: after the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) had to be cancelled two years ago due to the Corona pandemic, Berlin is now once again the meeting place for the global aerospace community from 22 to 26 June. DLR GfR, which plays a key role in shaping Europe’s largest space program with the Galileo Control Center in Oberpfaffenhofen, will also be there.

From Oberpfaffenhofen, GfR controls the European satellite navigation system GALILEO, which guarantees Europe’s independent access to reliable and accurate satellite navigation data. Together with bavAIRia e.V., the Bavarian cluster for aeronautics, space and space applications, GfR is now presenting itself at the ILA in the Space Hall (Hall 6, Stand 250). The work in the control room of the Galileo Control Center can be experienced up close: In a virtual tour, visitors can feel what it means to operate a constellation of currently 28 satellites in space.

DLR GfR – interesting not only for trade visitors

Operations at the control center are carried out by an international and young team – working at GfR promises a European career. The company from Oberpfaffenhofen will also be providing information about this at the ILA. Europe’s largest space program is calling: That’s why young professionals and students are especially welcome at the stand.
