Bavaria is one of the most renowned aerospace locations in Europe. Around 38,000 employees in more than 550 companies generate a turnover of over 11 billion euros per year. Bavarian satellite technology is a guarantee for a view of the earth or smooth communication. Space applications have become an integral part of our everyday lives. Day after day, companies and citizens naturally use space-based applications and services that have been developed with the involvement of Bavarian players. We as DLR Gesellschaft für Raumfahrtanwendungen are part of this community and a long-standing member of the Aerospace Cluster, which is managed by bavAIRia e.V An up-to-date overview of this can be found in the new digital Aerospace cluster brochure, which is now available at the following link.

The aim of the Aerospace cluster is to identify Bavaria’s core competencies in aeronautics, space and space applications and to network the key players more closely in order to increase the global competitiveness of these industries. The members and stakeholders of bavAIRia e. V. represent the entire industrial and research landscape of the Free State of Bavaria.
