Two days ago (18.03.24), we had the great honour of welcoming State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy to the DLR site in Oberpfaffenhofen. In addition to numerous visits to the site, State Secretary Gotthardt also visited the Galileo Control Centre.

On 18 March, State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy visited the DLR site in Oberpfaffenhofen. His visit underlines the strong commitment to supporting SMEs – the backbone of the Bavarian economy – and highlights the important role of aerospace innovation in our region.

State Secretary Gotthardt’s tour of the Galileo Control Centre (GCC) and its extension buildings provided an insight into Bavarian aerospace innovation. Led by our Managing Director Walter Päffgen, we presented the vibrant space ecosystem that continues to grow here in Oberpfaffenhofen. The collaboration between DLR GfR mbH, the Galileo Control Center, the DLR Galileo Competence Centre (GK) and the DLR Institute of Communications and Navigation is proof of the power of cooperation and future-oriented thinking.
