Increasing GNSS Resilience for Europe
JASP-R®
Reliable navigation
Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are essential for precise navigation and safe flight operations. However, GNSS signals are vulnerable: jamming, spoofing, and other types of interference can cause outages and uncertainty, directly impacting safety and operational efficiency.
JASP-R® is a new GNSS resilience service developed by DLR GfR. It monitors GNSS interference globally, directly from space, and detects disruptions in near-real time. It provides actionable information to support operational and decision-making in aviation.
See how JASP-R® is applied in practice – with real use cases, expert insights, and user perspectives from the aviation sector, including Lufthansa.
How it works
JASP-R® is based on a fully European infrastructure. It detects GNSS interference independently of third-party data sources, using direct satellite detection and will provide global coverage without blind spots. In the final configuration, updates will be delivered every 30 minutes.
Key features:
- Near real-time detection of jamming and spoofing
- Global coverage with regular status updates
- Clear visualization of affected regions
- Operational support for flight planning and route management
