DLR GfR at ILA 2026: Successful Start with Visit from Our New DLR Shareholder Representative

The first day of ILA 2026 has been a great success, bringing valuable discussions, new connections, and exciting opportunities for collaboration.

We were especially pleased to welcome Stéphane Beemelmans, our new DLR shareholder representative, who will serve as DLR’s main point of contact for DLR GfR going forward.

At our booth, he met with DLR GfR Managing Directors Walter Päffgen, Rolf Kozlowski, and Christian Jensen for a constructive exchange on current developments, future perspectives, and the continued cooperation between DLR and DLR GfR. The discussion highlighted a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration and addressing future challenges and opportunities in the space sector.

Visitors to our booth can also experience JASP-R, our interactive VR game focused on GNSS interference detection. Participants take on the role of pilots and must re-plan flight routes using the JASP-R service to safely avoid known GNSS jamming and spoofing areas. The game demonstrates the importance of GNSS monitoring and shows how JASP-R helps users navigate safely and reliably despite signal interference.

Adding a special touch to our presence at ILA is our astronaut, who is accompanying us throughout the exhibition. She is helping to promote SpaceOps 2027, the international conference on space operations that DLR GfR and DLR will jointly host in Munich next year.

As day two of the exhibition begins, we look forward to many more inspiring conversations with partners, customers, and stakeholders from across the aerospace community.
