Christian Jenssen joins the management board

DLR GfR has strengthened an important position in the company: Christian Jenssen joined the management board on June 1, 2022, alongside Walter Päffgen and Dr. Rolf Kozlowski. As Commercial Director, he is now responsible for Business Administration and Human Resources.

Jenssen brings with him a wide range of experience, particularly in the field of human resources management. Most recently, as DLR representative for international HR coordination, he developed principles and processes for uniform onboarding of international employees and established a transnational network for the exchange of strategic HR topics between various space organizations.

In earlier positions, the qualified businessman (univ.) developed DLR’s corporate strategy on employer branding and HR marketing as Head of Central HR Marketing and integrated this into the overall HR strategy. For four years, Jenssen  held the management of DLR’s Stuttgart and Lampoldshausen sites. He spent several years in B2B sales and started his career as a temporary officer in the German Air Force.

“I was particularly attracted to GFR’s international orientation, not only in corporate projects, but especially in human resources,” says Christian Jenssen. “The best way to attract and retain excellent personnel is: to be excellent yourself. And I see excellent conditions for that in GfR, which operates Europe’s largest space program with Galileo.”
